Car Console

This was a class project that I had to do for User Experience Design. We had to create a car console for the Subaru BRZ.

My take on this project was quite simple. I right a way knew what I wanted to achieve and that was a simple and sleek look for the sports car. I also wanted to challenge myself with the gray and green color scheme.

I started out with sketches of each screen. I wanted to keep this circle element through out all the screens so it would give it a cleaner look. Also with the layout of all the elements, I wanted the major buttons to be closer to the driver side so it would be easier and safer for the driver to navigate when driving.  In this sketch set though I decided to work with the screen when there is an active call happening rather then the contacts menu. So what I decided to design for the active call screen was that it would take over the whole screen while the driver is in motion just so they don’t get too distracted by the screen and want to navigate while driving and in a call at the same time.
